Feature-rich modular counterweights
Agreement Number:
1007464
Agreement Value:
$24,581.00
Agreement Date:
Jun 15, 2023 - Sep 29, 2023
Description:
To increase the mobility and reliability of the printer, nidus3D has designed and engineered for fabrication, a new modular, feature-rich, 3D concrete printed counterweight based on the challenges and failures identified in 2022. Designed to be moved, using the equipment and crew on site, the counterweights fit together securely to provide the total weight required for the operation of the Construction Printer. They are designed to be resilient, mindful of wear and tear. At the target weight a single unit can be lifted and maneuvered safely, effectively, and precisely by the telehandler or forklift. The scope of work includes the optimization for designs for printing, fabrication and of a complete set of prototypes.
