As a by-product of its omega-3-oil-producing precision fermentation process, Mara produces a protein-rich stream which can be dried into a powder. Previous projects have explored the use of this co-product as an alternative protein source for various applications. The scope of this process enables Mara's customers to combine a protein fraction, with an omega-3 lipid component, providing an enriched algal nutritional solution.
