Title:
Offshore Safety and Survival Training – Evaluation of Blended Digital and Practical Training Competency
Agreement Number:
1011873
Agreement Value:
$75,000.00
Agreement Date:
Oct 23, 2023 - Mar 29, 2024
Description:
The primary goal of this project is to better understand the effectiveness of blended learning (digital content for theory combined with practical evaluation) in the context of offshore safety and survival training. Currently, no systematic evaluation of competency as it relates to the delivery of digital training for the Canadian Oil and Gas Basic Survival Training (BST) 5-day, 40-hour program exists. Therefore, this project represents a first step toward identifying potential benefits to using a blended learning approach for this unique competency-based training.
