This project will utilize a graduate to investigate the potential for using various strains of novel species for remediation of toxins and food production. The graduate’s focus will be analyzing existing literature, strain selection, collaborating with researchers and labs, setting up experiments, production yields, and ecological data to further develop commercial mycelium based products. Future recommendations for future commercialization strategies are expected.
