Description:

Utilizing industry-reported production accounting data, we will create the first emission-based rating guide that we will name the Production Emission Intensity Report (PEIR) for oil and gas companies in Alberta (this will include BC, SK, and MB post-pilot). This product will be used by stakeholders, primarily Banks and Insurance companies, to evaluate risk related to ESG metrics to incorporate in their lending analysis or insurance proposals. Many colleagues in finance and insurance have told me there is no third-party auditing that is standardized currently, and they are very eager to have an option to purchase such information.
