Agreement: Development and Validation of a Novel Method for Analyzing Pathogens and Toxins Invertical Farms, Grapes, Corn and Precision Farming Operations (1019648). Apr 1, 2024 - Aug 4, 2025
Description:
This project will advance the hardware, software, and methods of a novel chemical analyzer designed for measuring taste, flavour, & potency chemicals in cannabis plants to include chemicals of interest to traditional agricultural crops. The primary development under this project is the detection of mycotoxins in corn being delivered to bio-ethanol refineries & additional applications to include pathogen detection and the optimization of high-density vertical farms (e.g., leafy greens and high-value food & spices), as well as the optimization of high-revenue crops (e.g., grapes for wine production). The primary technical advancement is developing novel sampling technology and data analytics with the use of AI for spectral deconvolution.
