The project is to research, design, develop, and fabricate a remotely operated system (tentatively named ROSE for Remotely Operated Submersible Excavator) that can perform underwater intervention tasks in submerged long tunnel and confined environments. The long-range aspect will complement ASI’s current remotely operated vehicle inspection fleet. Interventions may include, but not be limited to, remediation activities that require digging and dredging, and tooling to conduct repairs
