Description:
The firm has executed an agreement with Nomad Power (based in Vermont, USA). The intent of the agreement is for the firm to represent and promote Nomad’s Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) to the Atlantic Canada market, and to expand its service offerings and gain expertise in the BESS sector.
One of the target markets for BESS is northern and remote communities that are serviced by isolated electrical grids (micro-grids) supplied by Diesel powered generation.
The firm has recently had meetings with a representative of the NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) to explore the possibility of integrating a BESS to the Black Tickle, Labrador micro-grid to supplement the existing diesel generation and a recently installed solar power system.
