Description:
This project will advance novel high value NL mushroom production through an organic certified and permaculture production lens.
Three different mushroom feed stocks (10,000m2) will be explored for: 1) improved crop production density to 75% vs 25% previously, and 2) identify selected bioactive compounds vs traditional methods of production.
In parallel, apiculture will be established to determine the behavior and efficacy of honey bees feeding on the surface metabolite produced by the blewit.
