Description:
Develop new means to incorporate alternate materials including recycled materials in water-based paints and coatings. Some recycled materials have desirable properties compared to other natural solids used in latex paint formulations. The one limitation can be surface charge leading to paint viscosity issues. This project seeks to solve this limitation, leading to a greener paint formulation for architectural paints and coatings.
