Description:

ReThink Milling Inc (RTM) is developing a set of highly energy efficient grinding machines for the minerals industry. The equipment also has significant scope 2 and 3 Green House Gas emissions benefits that follow from reducing or eliminating the need for the manufacture and transport of consumable steel grinding media that are essential in conventional tumbling mills. This project will increase the fundamental understanding of the breakage mechanisms and efficiency gains in the CAHM, in part by testing more extreme operating conditions (particle size and feed rates). It will also quantify the performance improvements realized from a new liner design for the CAHM prototype.
