Description:
The youth graduate candidate will work with our lead biologist to assist in a number of projects, including the oversight of our mining revegetation initiatives. The firm has a greenhouse in Labrador City that has been used in recent years to grow grasses, shrubs, and trees that can be used for revegetation of mine tailing’s areas. The work involves the testing of seed mixes that can grow in the challenging tailings environments. The candidate will work with the firm's team to continue the testing of seed mixes, assist with upkeep and maintenance of the greenhouse, participate in the application of seeds, planting of trees and shrubs, and work to prepare the greenhouse and it’s vegetation for overwintering.
