Title:
Scalable cryogenic integration of III-V single-photon light sources
Agreement Number:
1025699
Agreement Value:
$1,049,850.00
Agreement Date:
Jan 1, 2025 - Mar 31, 2028
Description:
The long-term goal of this Project is a scalable, passively aligned and packaged integrated quantum light source used in a turn-key manner both as fibre-pigtailed emitter arrays and as part of other micro-packages in a quantum optical system. This will bring together the quantum-dot nanowire light source technology invented at NRC and the hybrid silicon photonics integration technology used and developed at UBC, both leading Canadian research institutions, with a commercialisation effort led by Dream Photonics Inc. (Dream).
Organization:
National Research Council Canada
Expected Results:

In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence. In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators. In the long term, find collaborative solutions to public policy challenges and create stronger innovation systems.
