Description:
For the purpose of forest management planning, stream channels are classified based on their width and water flow permanence.
The ML model will use predictor data such as Predicted Stream Channels (PSC) as the base dataset, to be supplemented with data such as Wet Areas Mapping (WAM), soils, Alberta Vegetation Inventory (AVI), terrain, and climate data.
Assimilated field data that Carson Integrated has collected for stream classes across Alberta will be formatted into a comprehensive database to be used to train the ML model.
