Title:
Youth to Investigate Mold/fermentation development in Dust/Blokr
Agreement Number:
1029760
Agreement Value:
$16,380.00
Agreement Date:
Apr 1, 2025 - Oct 31, 2025
Description:
The project involves students investigating solutions to an emerging issue with our DustBlokr product. Recently, under certain conditions, the product has exhibited an unexpected odor resembling rotting organics. This is highly unusual, as this technology has been successfully deployed worldwide for over a decade without such reactions. Since there have been no significant changes in our manufacturing processes or raw materials, we hypothesize that the issue stems from secondary reactions occurring when the product interacts with specific soils or materials under particular environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity. This project will involve testing our technology using new materials to prevent this from occurring.
