Title:
Japan MNE – QCEL: Quantum computing for extreme ultraviolet lithography
Agreement Number:
1030886
Agreement Value:
$75,000.00
Agreement Date:
Apr 16, 2025 - Sep 30, 2025
Description:
The drive for increased computing power has led to the continued miniaturization of integrated circuits, pushing feature sizes down to where quantum effects significantly impact performance. These effects have become particularly important with the advent of extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) for wafer patterning. Designing new photoresist materials is thus key to unlocking more advanced chip manufacturing. This project combines Xanadu’s expertise in developing quantum algorithms and Mitsubishi’s expertise in semiconductor chip manufacturing to simulate light-matter interactions in EUV lithography.
