Description:

This project aims to validate and optimize phytotechnology for the immobilization and management of PFAS, based on dense tree plantations irrigated with wastewater. The system under development, which has no discharge, bioaccumulates PFAS in biomass while reducing wastewater volumes. The project will study the behavior of PFAS through environmental matrices, volatilization pathways, and hydrological dynamics, and will explore sustainable methods for biomass disposal.
