Description:
This project investigates the use of cardiac-derived biological particles as a novel, non-invasive therapy for atrial inflammation in a rat model that mimics postoperative atrial fibrillation. The particles will be administered and assessed for targeted uptake by heart tissue. The ultimate aim is to demonstrate that this approach can prevent atrial fibrosis and halt the progression of atrial fibrillation.
