Description:
Haliburton Forest Biochar (HFB) has been developing novel biochar technology and new markets for biochar for seven years. The purpose of this project is to scale current processes and continue the advancement new high value markets for biochar. The project addresses the major hurdle of the lack of supply of high-quality biochar in Ontario and lack of a high-value market for biochar through scaling a commercial high-performance biomaterial replacement for fossil fuel products in the automotive foam and construction sector. To achieve these HFB is seeking to increase its internal engineering capacity to support optimization of existing process and designing and installing new processes.
