Atlantic BioCorp is developing the STAR GATE (St. Anthony Region – Green Advanced Technology Enterprise) project to establish a sustainable bioprocessing hub in northern Newfoundland. The initiative will convert local fisheries by-products into high-value biomaterials such as chitosan, protein hydrolysates, and calcium citrate using green processes. The project supports regional economic development, waste reduction, and Canada’s growing circular bioeconomy.
