Description:
This phase focuses on improving metal extraction efficiency and reducing costs by replacing sodium chloride with more soluble alternatives. Magnesium chloride and calcium chloride will be evaluated as replacements, aiming to maintain 97% recovery for both platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) from a diluted mother solution. The process will also target a 40% reduction in chemical costs by using one leach followed by two repeated leaching steps instead of three consecutive leaches.
