Through ADAPT: Accessible Diagnostics for Aging-in-Place Testing will be completed in a collaboration betweenLFAnt Medical and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) to improve access to health screening solutions for older Canadians. The project focuses on the verification of the ADAPT platform for the early detection of urinary biomarkers for chronic kidney disease (CKD), which poses disproportionate and preventable health risks among older adults. The ADAPT platform combines the NRC’s latest innovations in microfluidics-powered technologies with LFAnt medical’s next generation electromagnetic biosensors. It features a reusable reader and disposable test cartridges designed for use by minimally trained operators in community-based healthcare settings such as nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. The ADAPT platform is set to transform the paradigm of disease detection and monitoring and promote healthy aging among older Canadians.
