Description:
Aviridi is undertaking an R&D project to develop a large-format hot press platen and tooling system for advanced molded fiber manufacturing. The project focuses on analyzing and managing thermal expansion in a 1.2 m × 1.2 m platen used in pulforming equipment, the largest size currently deployed in the molded fiber industry. The work includes engineering design improvements, development of tooling fixtures, and software enhancements for robotic automation to maintain alignment during high-temperature operation. The outcome will improve manufacturing stability, automation accuracy, and scalability of sustainable molded fiber packaging production.
