Agreement Value:

Agreement Date:
Apr 15, 2016 - Sep 30, 2018
Description:
Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) enhanced phytoremediation systems (PEPS) have been developed in Canada for remediation of soil contaminated with salt and/or petroleum hydrocarbons and to increase plant tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses including drought, poor quality soils and/or pet urine and other garden stressors. We will be studying the effectiveness of PGPR applications ± other commercial products to remediate and re-vegetate contaminated/poor quality/stressed soils. Three studies will be undertaken to look at the ability of PGPR to reduce the amount of time to remediate and re-vegetate these contaminated and/or marginal soils._x000D_
