Title:
Development of Novel Portable Oilfield Testing Technology for Sulfur Compounds
Agreement Number:
904387
Agreement Value:
$149,000.00
Agreement Date:
Apr 1, 2018 - Jun 30, 2019
Description:
Wilson is developing novel technology for detecting and precisely measuring dissolved Hydrogen sulfide present in crude oil liquids. This technology is for developing a novel robust portable H2S detector for precisely measuring dissolved H2S in crude oil and not to be confused with H2S gas sniffers which are readily available for sniffing H2S gas in air. _x000D_ _x000D_ The firm has completed Phase 1 under the IRAP project 869225 and proof of concept, development of the novel technology and the building of prototypes were deemed successful in Phase 1. Phase 2 will advance the novel technology from alfa/beta for scaling upwards for commercially exploiting the market pull which demands the creation of a robust portable instrument for measuring dissolved H2S in crude oil during transport in tanker trucks and railcars. The portable H2S novel technology uses disposable reagents cartridges to precisely detect sulfur compounds in oil liquids using fluorescence spectroscopy technology. _x000D_
