Description:
Deepwater Farms (DWF) proposes to develop a vertical, complemented hydroponics/aquaponics system to be implemented indoors in a climate controlled environment. This system will take advantage of the benefits of both aquaponics and conventional hydroponics and eliminate the drawbacks and risks of coupled aquaponics. This system will achieve increased growth rates, yield, disease resistance and product quality and is the next step towards the development of a turn key, indoor food production system that increases resource use efficiency and maximizes productivity.
