Description:

Solar plant interconnections with diesel generators in northern climates present many challenges. The Firm proposes a method that utilizes advanced control algorithms to manage a micro-grid for remote areas. Power fluctuations of the photovoltaic plant due to unpredictable shading reduces the impact of solar energy. The Firm's designs optimize module efficiencies, use storage to condition the fluctuating power generated by the PV plant and isolate design parameters to identify contributing factors in our effort to maximize overall system efficiencies for northern climates.
