Description:
“CIIP - Brazil with Genotyping” The aim of this project is to develop a novel method to isolate and detect pathogens causing Blood Stream Infections (BSI). Initially, a sensitive kit will be developed to isolate DNA from all the microorganisms present in blood. Next, panels will be developed to detect the microorganisms that cause over 95% of BSI using real-time PCR and/or NGS, and to screen for antibiotic resistance of these microorganisms.
