Description:
The Firm intends to conduct Lean Manufacturing/Productivity Studies and implement improvements at its Point Rousse gold processing plant. Included in that effort, the Firm intends to apply Lean principles to the Maintenance Department to develop accurately detailed maintenance plans and scheduled tasks. Once the preventative maintenance plan is designed and implemented there will be less waste (time, materials, etc.), less rework (jobs have done correctly the first time), all work performed will be value added, to name a few of the Lean principles that apply directly. The implementation of preventative maintenenace will contribute to increased efficiency of the Firm's operations.
