Agreement Number:
927989
Agreement Value:
$20,000.00
Agreement Date:
May 6, 2019 - May 4, 2020
Description:
Sustainable, cost-effective solutions to global food insecurity are of critical importance. Soybean is the 4th largest field crop in Canada by acreage, contributing to commodity and food-grade markets. To sustain current demand, novel technologies such as improved microbial inoculants, are needed to combat our reliance on expensive chemical fertilizers. Further, improved plant health & increased yields will ensure we can address upcoming challenges such as climate change. This project aims to identify synergies among inoculants, which have the potential to increase nutrient availability & uptake. Measurements under controlled conditions will be quantified to evaluate the efficacy of products & provide advice for future on field application.
