Description:
Aquanty is developing a real-time hydrologic forecasting platform, HGS-RT, enhancement of which is the focus of this project. While the current HGS-RT platform provides valuable insight on future hydrologic conditions across Southern Ontario via the 14-day stream-flow forecast, there is demand for higher resolution hydrologic forecasting data to serve the need of municipal-level emergency services as well as the agricultural community. Specifically, municipalities are interested high-skill short-term flood risk forecasts for their local areas, and agricultural producers are interested in field-scale soil moisture forecasts that take into account crop details not captured in the current platform.
