Description:

This project will focus on the design and manufacturing of a mobile mapping system for geospatial data collection, that uses lidar, cameras, and other positioning and navigation sensors. The modular system will be designed to be installed on a personal carrying device (ie. backpack), UAV, ATV, or other types of vehicles. The project will also involve the development of the system’s real-time operating software as well as algorithms to process and fuse the individual geospatial data streams into a cohesive single data set.
