Description:
The current nickel and cobalt extraction process involve open-pit mining of the lateritic ore, which is then processed on-site using high-pressure acid leaching into mixed sulfides containing nickel and cobalt. To develop the technology for the autoclave feed pulp thickening within the bounds and parameter space of a current feed pulp thickening, with the goal of increasing the feed pulp density and thus improve specific solids throughput of the autoclave leach.
