Description:

IPD will develop a prototype device for the efficient delivery of oxygen of COVID-19 patients and will conduct bench testing to demonstrate the device’s functional characteristics. This project includes 3 versions of the device as follows: 1) Development of a high-oxygen rebreathing circuit with purely passive components for rapid deployment 2) Modification of device developed in 1) to add automatic oxygen control and positive pressure support for the patient 3) Addition of waveform control to allow high oxygen ventilation and ventilator control. In addition, IPD will construct prototypes of each device for evaluation by critical care doctors and refine the device based on their feedback.
