Description:

We currently outsource the manufacturing of our baby seats to a contract manufacturer that uses hydrocarbon-based blowing agents. The safe handling of these agents requires explosion-proof enclosures, and the implementation of new facilities that can handle hydrocarbons requires considerable capital outlay. As a first step towards building a more automated (higher-yielding), safer and more environmentally-friendly, in-house manufacturing facility here in Canada, we intend to explore the use of processes that require alternative (non-flammable) blowing agents to manufacture our integral skin polyurethane baby seats.
