This study will allow Tern Boatworks to complete activities to establish the feasibility of using Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM) process with new innovative natural flax fibres, recycled PET foam cores, and eco-sustainable resin material technologies for use in recreational boats. To the best of our knowledge, this innovation has never been attempted anywhere in Canada to date.
