The project is composed of three parts: (i) Identification and analysis of A. baumannii genes that allow for bacteriophage infection, (ii) deletion of endogenous prophages in AB5075 by allelic replacement, and (iii) identifying genes responsible for capsule overproduction (often the target of bacteriophages) in strains overproducing bacterial second messenger c-di-GMP
