This project aims to produce a plant-based PU leather prototype product, through a safe solvent-free process, as an alternative to the current petroleum-based synthetic leathers. Our PBLA will have a much lower carbon footprint than the current commercial synthetic leathers and a similar biodegradability profile to natural leather.
