Agreement Date:
Nov 16, 2021 - Nov 30, 2022
Description:
The goal of this project is to engineer unique drug delivery systems using prodrug materials that will improve upon current controlled drug release technologies for the treatment of opioid use disorder. This will involve evaluating chemically modifying an API so that it can be processed into a sustained release injectable form that exhibits surface erosion based drug release without the use of polymers or excipients. This work will be pursued for APIs in the opioid antagonist drug class
