Description:
This project is part of the Quantum Photonic Integrated Circuits for Quantum Interconnects Small Teams, Round 2 (2020) project whose overarching goal is to develop a chip-based platform where entangled photons can be generated and distributed between nodes in a quantum network, using nanowire-based quantum dots fully integrated on a chip manufactured in the silicon nitride (SiN) material platform.
This sub-project/collaboration with the University of Malaga will develop design methodology for filters, for the Small Teams project. The specific goal of this sub-project is to develop and demonstrate a versatile and flexible methodology that allows the design of filters with a set of given target performance parameters. To achieve this flexibility, the project team will focus on further developing their existing expertise in complex Bragg filter design and add the essential capabilities of thermal tuning and reconfiguring of the filter response.

In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence.
