Microstrip superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUID) readout of Ge-based spin devices

A new material platform based on hole Ge/SiGe structures for quantum applications will be developed. This material is fully compatible with the large-scale state-of-the±art silicon foundries for mass production and also has a number of attractive superior properties compared to other material systems. Quantum dot devices containing just a few holes will be developed. A special attention will be paid to improved sensitivity and the bandwidth of quantum spin readout sensors based on Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices (SQUID). A fast sensitive readout is critical in quantum technologies for coping with 1/f noise and for fast high fidelity quantum protocols to process quantum information stored in spin qubits.

In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators. In the long term, find collaborative solutions to public policy challenges and create stronger innovation systems.
