Description:
MesoMat has developed a new form of sensor, plastic based sensing fibres, which measure strain in critical components that experience large deformations. This sensing innovation is combined with electronics and software to provide a platform for the real-time monitoring of systems which cannot be measured today, including commonly used components in the building and construction industry. In these applications, MesoMat is developing new methods to implement its platform and utilize the output data for the monitoring of installation procedures, to predict and to prevent failure and to optimize long-term performance.
