Description:
This project is designed to optimize the company’s hemp-based technology for the conversion of sugars from agricultural waste to food-grade sugars. It will also focus on the generalizability of the manufacturing processes for converting cellulose from various plant structures to edible sugars using alternate biomass such as peas, sugar beets and soybeans. In addition, sugar syrup from alternate biomass will also be produced and compared to the company’s signature hemp syrup.
