Description:

BMSI is dependent on the sale of its high-grade barite, known as barium sulfate (BaSO4), to a single local market. Market analysis confirms substantial alternative international markets for barium products. In 2021 and 2022, an independent research program confirmed that BMSI can make alternative barium products, including industrial grade and chemical grade barium derivatives. A block flow diagram (BFD) processing model has been developed for full-scale production of multiple derivative products. This proposal migrates laboratory testing to start of industrial-scale planning to de-risks processing challenges on scale up.
