Island Abbey Foods purchased a new state of the art gummy line which provides additional capabilities not available to the firm today. There are two objectives for this project, related to the new processing line that will help build the firm's technical platform capabilities. 1) Develop technically challenging products (low sugar, high magnesium, high calcium) to meet market demand 2) Research process improvement opportunities including minimizing overages and measuring moisture levels.
