This R&D project developed a new advanced gas metal arc welding system for applications where low heat input and high efficiency is required, impacting spatter generation. This new system will incorporate advanced silicon hardware as well as machine learning software to reach its goal by recognizing patterns in the measured data and applying changes to achieve the optimal outcome through the welding arc.
