Agreement Number:

Agreement Value:
$207,400.00
Agreement Date:
Oct 23, 2023 - Jan 31, 2025
Description:
Aruna’s goal is revolutionizing menstrual products, making them better for the body and the planet. To do that we will develop a local micro-manufacturing facility in Nova Scotia, that will encompass fiber extraction, non-woven development, and pad conversion. This project will allow us to scale up the fiber extraction process, complete research on pre-processing of the raw materials, including washing, drying, decorticating, and cutting to length before extracting the fibers in a tank, and sterilizing the fibers for non-woven manufacturing. This project will allow Aruna to move from slower manual small scale equipment into a pilot scale fiber extraction
