As part of the international consortium project “DSKENet”, this project will focus on this project 'kills two birds with one stone', addressing the above two problems of single point of failure and scalability. This innovation combines DSKE by Quantum Bridge with QKD systems made by Toshiba's Cambridge Research Lab into 'one stone'. Whereas DSKE is ideal for a secure long-distance backbone network, fibre-based QKD is highly feasible in metropolitan networks with distances less than 500 km.
