Since 2020, there has been many unprecedented challenges in sourcing ingredients. The reason for this was due to the global pandemic. With borders shutting down, supply chain disruptions occurring, and trade becoming difficult to maintain, food manufacturers have been struggling to keep up with the demand for many raw ingredients. For Duinkerken Foods to mitigate ingredient shortages, it’s crucial to introduce a laboratory. A food testing laboratory can help ensure the safety and quality of food ingredients by identifying potential contaminants and pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, and toxins. It will also help with meeting regulatory requirements by identifying and testing for specific ingredients, additives, and labeling requirements.
