Sona Nanotech Inc. has a patented and patent-pending technology for manufacturing biocompatible, toxin-free gold nanorods. The goal of the intellectual property work outlined in this proposal is to enable Sona to file additional patent(s) covering new capabilities of the nanorods. The deliverables of this project will be a patent landscape report that includes patent search details, patent publication level results, patent assignee analysis, subject matter analysis, country analysis, and date analysis. This report will then be used to formulate and refine a strategy for Sona's next patent filings, starting with provisional patent filings to establish a priority date for the inventions disclosed in the application.
Expected Results:The purpose of IRAP Contributions to Firms is to support research, development, adoption and/or adaptation of innovative or technology-driven new or improved products, services or processes in Canada up to their commercialization
